As the permanent partner of the Think-Pink charity, Veritas is committing itself to the fight against breast cancer for the second time. Thus, Veritas is taking part in the Race for the Cure that is taking place in September and is calling all of its customers to also do their bit. But there is more.

 

Last year, Veritas signed a three year agreement with the Think-Pink charity. Their aim is to support the charity in its on-going breast cancer awareness campaign. Think-Pink draws attention to the disease and wants to make women aware of the importance of breast screening.

 

“Commitment is one of our company’s main values,” states Marthe Palmans, CEO of Veritas, and this is how she explains their collaboration with Think-Pink. “80% of our customers are women, and the vast majority of our staff are also women. As a company, we consider it our duty to make women aware of the danger of the number 1 cause of death for women. This is why we fully support the on-going Think-Pink breast cancer awareness campaign and we help them to spread their message.”

 

Last year, Veritas entered a team of 75 employees and customers in the Belgium Race for the Cure, either a run (6km) or a walk (3 km) that signals the start to the breast cancer month of October. Marthe Palmans explains: “This year we are counting on at least double the number of participants. People do not really have to be trained in order to take part. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their age. By taking part, you show solidarity with breast cancer patients and you pay homage to all those women who have sadly died from cancer.”
